How it works

  1. Hidden from the start

    Film pages load with everything you chose already hidden. Nothing flashes on screen.

  2. Checked with Letterboxd

    BoxdHide asks Letterboxd, using your own session, whether you've watched the film.

  3. Revealed when you're ready

    Mark the film as watched and everything comes back instantly, no reload.

From source

  1. Download the source code and unzip it.
  2. Open chrome://extensions and enable Developer mode.
  3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder.

Privacy

BoxdHide does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data.

Your settings are saved with Chrome's built-in sync storage and never reach the developer. On Letterboxd film pages, the extension asks letterboxd.com, with your existing session, whether you have watched the film. The answer is only used in the page and is not stored or sent anywhere else.

No analytics, tracking, advertising or remote code.
